Urban/rural 2020

This collection was produced in collaboration with Halley Stevensons and the Royal Highland & Agricultural Society Of Scotland, and final garments were displayed at the Royal Highland Show (2019).

The brief for this project was to design a collection of men’s clothing inspired by 1920s workwear. The garments had to fit the needs of a circular economy and be highly functional for a wearer going between the city and the countryside.

My final outfit includes a jacket with a fold-away hood and easily replaceable zips and trousers with a removable pocket belt. All fabrics are natural with the exception of the green waxed cotton gifted by Halley Stevensons.
