how to secure loose ends in crochet

Step 1

If an end of yarn comes loose, don’t just trim it down as this could result in unravelling of your whole garment.

Step 2

Instead, take a large tapestry or embroidery needle and thread through the loose end.

Step 3

Push the needle into the piece, starting just under the corner.

Step 4

Weave the needle through the centre of the row of crochet and pull through so the yarn is trapped in the centre of the stitches.

Step 5

Once you have a good length secured, you can trim off any excess.

Step 6

You’re done!
